Christmas Decor!!!!
Our 10 Year Plan
Give or take 10 years that is, it really is about almost 11 years now due to our miscarriage.
I have always been a planner and Cody and I generally knew the order we wanted to happen in our life but not necessarily the exact dates. So here we go, here's our timeline!
- January 5th 2011 We started Talking I always pictured my self meeting my future husband young and getting married young but not at 17! I thought I would meet my future husband at 19/20 years old in college and get married at 21. Cody and I got married at 22 and love how long we dated and getting married young still.
- February 5th 2011 We started liking each other
- March 17th 2011 Cody asked me out
- April 1st 2011 Was our first date
- Mid April 2011 He held my hand for the first time
- April 30th 2011 Our first kiss as a couple and both of our first kisses ever (we never dated anyone but each other and we never broke up, we don't know heartbreak).
- May 1st 2011 The day we fell in love
- May 14th 2011 We graduated high school
- June 26th 2011 Cody went off to college at UTM and started classes at 17 years old We purposed to do long distance dating well, because that was my husband and I was his wife (even if it hadn't happened yet) and we did long distance quite well. We only saw each other for one day every 3 months for 5 years because of how far away he was going to school and because of football.
- July 7th 2011 I started college classes at UT at 17 years old
- December 25th 2011 Cody said I love you.
- December 2012 We started talking about marriage.
- May-August 2014 I had my internship at Oak Ridge National Labs.
- April 18th 2015 Cody proposed to me I didn't want to be engaged for a really really long time so I asked Cody to propose within 18 months to a year before I graduated (when we knew we were going to get married). If it weren't for that, we would have been ready to get engaged around June 2013, 2+ years after we started dating and about 2.5 years after we started talking.
- May 15th 2015 Cody moved to Knoxville for Faragut football and working at Jimmy Johns in the Summer and student teaching in the Fall at Faragut High and Middle school through Maryville State college. Cody lived with my grandparents with me (seperate rooms) during the summer and stayed with them during the Fall while I lived on campus for the next year.
- Mid December Cody graduated college as a Teacher.
- Early February 2016 Cody moved to College Dale (Chattanooga) and lived with his parents for his interim teaching job at Howard which turned to a full time Brainered High School Job and Defensive coordinator that Fall for a year then ending up at Soddy Daisy in 2017 school year coaching defense and on. Cody visited me in my dorm almost every weekend this spring semester.
- March 6th 2016 Cody got our apartment at Integra Hills in Ooltewah. We ended up getting three 15 month leases, staying there for exactly 4 years total.
- Early May 2016 Cody moved into the apartment after our new bed arrived.
- May 14th 2016 I graduated college as a Materials Science Engineer and lived with my mom and grandparents for the next 3 weeks until we got married.
- June 4th 2016 We got married in Knoxville It was 13.5 months after Cody proposed. I wanted both of us to graduate college before getting married and before starting our jobs (so we can grow up together and establish ourselves together) and of course after 3.5 years of started dating which since we were so young we hit early and very well. We dated 5 years 2 months and 3 days before getting married.
- June 4th-June 11th Honeymoon part 1 PCB
- June 11th I moved into our apartment
- July 4th-8th Honeymoon part 2 Walt Disney World We wanted one 2 week honeymoon but had to get back for Cody's football season to start and had to split it up.
- February 20th 2017 I started my job as a Process Engineer at Shaw Industries in Ringgold (3 years later, Dalton)
- May 23rd 2017 I got lasik eye surgery. I had to be 22 years old which I was and be on good insurance from work and I wanted to be married first and before kids (and 6 months before kids which I did).
- December 26th 2017 Started house building process
- April 23rd 2018 Bought lot in Apison TN
- April 23rd 2019 Broke ground
- December 27th 2019 Moved into house We only wanted to stay in the apartment 2 years, 3 years max but the house took an extra year and a half to build.
- December 27th 2019 Started looking for our dog We wanted to get our dog a year after being in our new house but since we got in a year and a half late and didn't want it to run into when our kids were born, we had to get Lucy 3 months after we finished the house and 5 months after we moved in. We wanted to have Lucy 18 months before I got pregnant (to get her out of the hyper crazy stage) and 2 years before our first baby was born. It looks like it will work out that way!
- February 2nd 2020 Reserved girl dog from Early's Ragtime Golden Retrievers
- February 14th 2020 Lucy was conceived
- March 7th 2020 Had our housewarming party and finished building our house
- March 26th 2020 We got pregnant but didn't know it.
- April 20th 2020 Lucy Cove Raborn was born, 11:35am a red golden retriever.
- April 26th 2020 positive pregnancy test at 3 weeks 1 day.
- May 8th 2020 our baby unknowingly died at 6 weeks 1 day.
- May 9th 2020 told our families about the baby.
- May 22nd 2020 found out our baby had died.
- May 27th 2020 Picked Lucy out of litter
- June 7th 2020 got Lucy
- June 22nd 2020 took miscarriage inducing pills which didn't work.
- July 1st 2020 at 13 weeks 6 days, My body refused to miscarry so I had a D&C surgery
- July 9th 2021 Cody finished his Masters Degree in Coaching He started in May 2017 but ran into many bumps in the road.
- September 5th 2021 Get pregnant I also wanted Cody to be finished with his masters degree before we got pregnant and that's just what we did. I also wanted to be married for 5 years before we got pregnant and give birth before our 6th anniversary which is what we will be doing. That happened on June of 2021 so we did just that. I also also wanted us to get pregnant and give birth all within our 28th year plus have our dog hit 18 months old when I hit 6 weeks pregnant (which we did, I was 6 weeks 1 day when she turned 18 months, just so I could escape morning sickness while she was still hyper).
- December 27th 2021 Babymoon PCB
- April 30th 2022 Cody gets his dream truck
- June 2nd 2022 baby boy is born
- Future plans Lord willing:
- August 2023 Get Pregnant with baby #2
- End of December 2023 Babymoon for baby #2 Biltmore
- May 30th 2024 our girl is born
- August 2029 I go back to work part time at Little Debbie
- July 2050 I retire
- June 4th 2066 we have our 50th vow renewal at PCB.
How we Knew it was Time to Start Trying for a Baby (~again)
I know this is ultimately in God's plans but I had a list of criteria I needed to accomplish in my life (part of our 10 (now 11 year plan) before we actually started trying to have a baby. Our first pregnagcy that ended in a miscarriage was unplanned so while knowing God is in control, I wanted to get through a few a few more milestones in life before we even started trying for real to have a baby.
List of Criteria:
Main goals
I wanted to be married for 5 years before we started trying. I also want to give birth before our 6th anniversary (which we will be doing). I wanted to be at least 4 years into my career before we started trying. I waned us to be 28 before we started trying and give birth at 28 still. I wanted Cody to be done with his masters degree before we started trying. We needed to be in a house and not our apartment to start trying. Lucy needed to be 1.5 years old when morning sickness hits at 6 weeks along (which I was 6 weeks 1 day when she turned 1.5 years old). Lucy also needs to be at least 2 when the baby is born which she will be. I wanted to have a Fall early pregnancy and give birth before it gets too hot in summer (early June) which we will be doing. It would be perfect to give birth right before the dead period in football so Cody can have 2 weeks to help out and bond when I am already somewhat healed and we have a routine down. I'm planning for my mom to stay with me for 2 weeks until Cody can be home. Luckily Cody only has morning football practice in June when the baby is born.
Specific goals I had set for myself that I check off as I went. With natural family planning it can be difficult to control pregnancy but my goal was to hit all of these points:
- Start Prenatal vitamins October 29th 2020 having them for almost a year before conceiving.
- Baby born after Cody is done with his masters degree (don't conceive before November 2020)
- Get pregnant after our angel baby's due date (January 7th 2021)
- Get pregnant after 4 natural cycles off of the pill (don't conceive before end of January 2021 cycle)
- Have at least 3 months of prenatals (don't conceive before mid February cycle)
- Cycle after March 26th 2021 (my old date I got pregnant a year ago) (don't conceive before May cycle)
- Baby born outside of 2021 (don't conceive before May cycle)
- Get pregnant after covid crazies end June 1st 2021 (don't conceive before June cycle)
- Get pregnant after 5th anniversary on June 4th 2021 (don't conceive before mid June cycle)
- Get pregnant after 5th anniversary trip June 5th 2021 (don't conceive before mid June cycle)
- Get pregnant after 1 year d&c anniversary July 1st 2021 (don't conceive before mid July cycle)
- Get pregnant after Cody's last Masters degree class is over July 9th 2021 (don't conceive before end of July cycle)
- Get pregnant after turning 28 years old July 12th 2021 (don't conceive before end of July cycle)
- Baby born when Lucy is 2 years old (April 20th 2022) (so don't conceive before August)
- Not too far away from babymoon December 27th 2021 (so don't conceive earlier than beginning of September and not too early on in pregnancy so no later than end of October conceive)
- Conceive before my cousin Hannah conceives with her second baby end of September 17th 2021 (so conceive before or on September cycle) (I don't want to be too far behind everyone).
- Lucy needed to be 1.5 years old when morning sickness hits at 6 weeks along (which I was 6 weeks 1 day when she turned 1.5 years old) OR needs to be 18 months (October 20th 2021) before we conceive so (conceive October cycle on either October 7th or October 14th)
- Conceive after some weight loss and can enjoy holidays and pregnancy (Conceive before Halloween 2021).
- Conceive near the holidays so I'm not far along at all for Christmas (preferably 8-16 weeks by December 25th).
- Give birth to a summer baby so conceive no later than October 30th 2021.
- Give birth before football season August 5th 2022 (so conceive no later than October 30th 2021.

Natural Family Planning
Cody and I have been using the Natural Family Planning (NFP) method for quite a while now. We take a small spin on the textbook method but for the most part follow this practice in research.
I was placed on the combination pill when I was 15 years old from 3 years of irregular, incredibly painful, and incredibly heavy periods. (I had zero issues from the pill and loved it) But shortly after I turned 26, I wanted to be hormone free and get to the bottom of my previous issues so I can eventually have children and reduce my risk of possible miscarriage or possible infertility. We waited a while before we tried for kids so I knew when we were ready, we would be READY, no time to waste on possibly having fertility issues like some members in my family. So in October when I was 26, I got off the pill and surprisingly my cycles were pretty normal, they were 33-34 days long but I ovulated on day 21 instead of 14. My flow was normal and my pain was very minimal. I used my Ava fertility bracelet (shown below) and avoided getting pregnant during my fertile window. About 4 months later I got nervous about accidentally getting pregnant as my husband was going back to school to get his masters degree and I didn't want to get pregnant until he was done with school, so I went back on the pill for 3 months and had no issues until at the end of that third month, I started bleeding a little too early for my expected period to arrive on the pill. I panicked a little bit and took a pregnancy test 100% expecting it to be negative but it wasn't. The pill is supposed to be immediately effective after 1 week taking it and I had been taking it for 2 months when I got pregnant on it so who freaking knows. So I immediately stopped taking any more of the pill and went to the doctor. As you know my story, that was early bleeding around my 3rd week in pregnancy which ultimately led to the baby passing unknowingly at 6 weeks 1 day, finding out it was a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks, and ending up in a failed miscarriage even after taking miscarriage inducing pills at 11.5 weeks and ended up as a D&C surgery 13 weeks 6 days.
2 weeks after my surgery, I got back on the pill for 3 more months as advised by my doctor solely to regulate my cycle (which I totally agreed with and actually did really really help me). Now if I had been actively trying to conceive, my doctor of course would not have advised to go back on the pill but he knew I was not trying to conceive. So after those 3 months, the next October when I was 27, I got back off the pill and used NFP and was off of it for 11 months before we decided to actively conceive the next September, 28 years old, which led us to get pregnant immediately. We simply had productive sex the day after ovulation and the two days following (because we decided to start trying a month earlier on a whim but I thought I missed my fertile window because I was on a trip but decided to try anyways and if not to succeed with a pregnancy, then just for fun).
Those last almost year of being off the pill, my periods were extremely like clockwork, lasting 28 days, ovulating on day 14, and only lightly to moderately bleeding for 5 days with very little to no pain. What a blessing. Before getting on the pill at 15, I could never have dreamed of having my body naturally function like this. I truly believe the pill really helped me with that for those 11+ years. It isn't for everyone but worked so well for my body. I plan to go on the mini pill in between babies in the future. Then back to the combination pill until menopause.
Natural Family Planning can work, it just takes a lot of time and self-awareness every month. If you aren't organized or like to think about certain things you don't "have" to, this method may not be for you. I have to say my body on and off the pill are pretty dang similar. I am lucky to not have had bad side effects on the pill and to have a body that is kind to me off of the pill.
NFP can also help you recognize any issues your body is having before you try to conceive. I realized my progesterone levels were pretty low (no PMS, and I spot 3 days before and after my period) which was seen in my pregnancy progesterone levels. After 3-6 months of getting off hormonal birth control if your periods are extremely long, irregular, heavy, painful, or extremely short, there may be more to this. You may have PCOS, endometriosis, low ovarian reserve, or trouble ovulating. The pill can disguise a lot of these issues and it is extremely important to determine this before trying to conceive so you can have an easier and quicker time getting pregnant and of course, fixing these issues with your doctor.
Here is your NFP cheat sheet:
- Do your research.
- Get to know your body and cycle. Track it for a few months to get an idea how long your cycle is, what day you ovulate, how long is your period, how long is the follicular phase(first day of period until you ovulate), and how long your luteal phase is (after you ovulate to the day before you start your period).
- Get off hormonal birth control for 3 months before trying NFP because your cycle may be all over the place and hasn't normalized yet. During this time, use condoms (or other methods of fun) every time productive sex is taken place.
- Use the Ava bracelet (shown below) as a method to get to know your cycle and in real time track these main parameters.
- Plan with your husband what method of protection you will use during your 5-6 day fertile window (5 days before ovulation, and the day of and a little after ovulation). Do you plan on using a condom, abstinence, or other ways to have fun instead? This is the least fun about NFP. Also along with the ava bracelet, take LH ovulation tests every day during your fertile window to be absolute sure you ovulate when you are thinking and track that in the premom app (listed below).
- Take note of the days you have productive sex (sex that leads to a baby) just in case you accidentally become pregnant.
- Now Enjoy your life hormone free!
Apps: Premom, Ava.
The premom app helped me track my cycle but mainly helped me track my LH test strips. During the 6 fertile days indicated by the Ava app and bracelet, I took an LH test strip every night until I received a positive and then I took it every 12 hours until the positive turned negative. The Premom app allowed me to take a picture of the test strip in the app and it measured the line amount to if I had hit my peak fertility or not and when to have sex.
The Ava bracelet/app is an amazing amazing purchase. It is a bracelet designed to help you get pregnant but works WONDERS to use in reverse. I use this to not get pregnant. When the app suggests to have intercourse due to your present fertile parameters, I don't. Simple. Ava states it isn't used to prevent pregnancy but has worked for me for 15 months/cycles. So for the Ava bracelet, in real time, it measures 7 parameters in your body by just wearing the bracelet for at least 4 hours in your sleep and downloads that data every morning into your app to determine your 6 most fertile days. It also allows you to log sex, mood, LH test strip results, your mood, and your period. The parameters include, resting pulse rate, skin temperature, breathing rate, sleep amount (light and REM), HRV ratio, and your own daily log which included the sex, cervical mucus, mood, or LH test strip results like mentioned above. It takes all of these parameters into account to predict your most fertile window, ovulation day, next period and such, and will change on the fly if your body's parameters change indicating a shift in cycle. This bracelet took only 3 months to learn my body and has been EXACTLY spot on with my LH peak, ovulation day, and period start and length every time. Even with my extremely irregular cycles. This bracelet also works in reverse if trying to prevent pregnancy by obtaining the most fertile days or partaking in other activities (we did this for a year before we conceived (I got off the pill in late October 2020)). I couldn't be more proud of this bracelet and software. Highly recommend so you don't accidentally miss your most fertile window. Without this bracelet and relying on LH strips alone, you could miss the most fertile time to try, the LH positive day and the day before. Picture is in the section below.
Tools: Quantitative LH strips, Ava bracelet. (For my progesterone issues I use (Proov pdg test strips, Proov progesterone oil)).
Progesterone Issues Diet: To fix my progesterone levels naturally without the help of medicine since my issues aren't too severe, I do seed cycling. For the first 14 days of your cycle, you eat 1-2 Tablespoons of ground flax seeds AND pumpkin seeds each day, and for the last 14 days of your cycle you eat1-2 Tablespoons of sesame seeds AND sunflower seeds every day. Experts swear by this method as this natural hormone balancing method evens out the correct hormones (such as estrogen and such) during the certain parts of your cycle to ensure perfect balance. It takes about 3 months to notice a difference so do this for at least 3 months before you try to conceive. I have been seed cycling since July 3rd. See picture below:
I hope that helps! I'm not an expert by any means, this is just what we did to prevent then prepare for pregnancy and it worked for us. Remember to do your own research! Good luck!

Kayla Raborn

TTC Journey!!
Welcome to our long awaited trying to conceive journey! I planned for this for years but fortunately for us, we conceived (basically before) the first try so all of these methods helped at least for us or we are just really fertile. So I thought I would share them for anyone who was interested because this isn't really talked about. One of the keys to our journey is getting my progesterone up and keeping it up before and during conception time and into early pregnancy. This has helped us avoid early miscarriage as my levels have always been low and my luteal phase (time after ovulation and before your period) is pretty short. The standard is 14 days and mine is about 11-12 days always which also indicates low progesterone. I also spot 1-3 days before my periods start every month, another sign. Miscarriage is prevalent with low progesterone levels and I bled 8-12dpo in my last pregnancy and also unfortunately lost that baby. I bled the same time frame for this pregnancy but got on progesterone right when it started.
Apps: Premom, Ava, Proov (explained in the tools section below).

I couldn't be more proud of this bracelet and software. Highly recommend so you don't accidentally miss your most fertile window. Without this bracelet and relying on LH strips alone, you could miss the most fertile time to try, the LH positive day and the day before. Picture is in the section below.
Tools: Quantitative LH strips, Proov pdg test strips, Proov progesterone oil, Ava bracelet, Prenatal vitamins taken for 1 year, Preseed, What to Expect Before Expecting book.
These are the prenatal vitamins I took a year in advance from ttc. By doing so a year in advance, this reduces the risk of miscarriage significantly. Be sure the vitamins of course have the appropriate folate and folic acid but also DHA which supports healthy brain function in the baby. If you choose gummy prenatal, be sure to take a iron supplement as well due to the gummies not having this.
We used this preseed lubricant as not necessarily a lubricant but after reading the reviews, almost everyone who used it reported that they got pregnant immediately on the first try. So this may not be what happened to us or it did, all I know is we conceived on the first try as well and also used preseed. Possibly a coincidence? It worked for us even after we thought we had waited too long after ovulation to try (I was on a trip). It is recommended by doctors because it does not hurt sperm but helps them move faster into the cervix as well.
Diet: Severely limit processed foods, severely limit red meat, eat whole foods, salmon, nuts/seeds, zinc rich foods for him, water, almond milk, anti-inflammatory foods. We don't drink but if you drink, cut out alcohol 3 months before ttc.
Preparation: Weight loss (7% of body weight lost) for us both before ttc, we also both avoided hot environments such as hot showers or baths as that is detrimental for conception and sperm production. We both also got physicals and got up to date on our vaccinations*. Another thing to do is both get a teeth cleaning before ttc. For the year in advance of ttc, shoot for 8 hours of sleep a night for ultimate heath and limit as much stress as possible. Also start an exercise program and continue at least 30 minutes of exercise 5-6 days a week. For the girl, this is beneficial so she can continue this throughout her pregnancy.
Also up to a year in advance switch insurances to benefit OB/GYN care and hospital costs for delivery. For the female, schedule a preconception visit at your OB/GYN office for your yearly papsmear and any questions you have about ttc. Also as a married couple, start a savings plan at least a year in advance to prepare for any additional costs a baby requires, set up investments for future college funds and create a Will for who your money will go to when baby is born if something were to happen to you and your spouse and also who the child/children (and dogs) will go to if you and your spouse were to pass. If you are going above and beyond, make sure your dog is ideally at least 2 years old before you are ttc so he or she can be fully calm when you need them to most.
*I also got fully covid vaccinated for 3 cycles before ttc.
Intercourse: Recent studies have shown to have sex every day and multiple times a day if possible (we did the 2-3 days after ovulation. Older studies showed this diminishes sperm count and is counter productive especially closer to ovulation but the opposite has been proven to be true. Also have sex especially two days and one day before ovulation every month using the preseed. After sex, don't use the restroom and lay flat with feet ever so slightly raised for 20-30 minutes. That last sentence isn't necessary but is just extra steps to take, and why not try it if you are in a hurry to conceive.
I hope that helps! I'm not an expert by any means, this is just what we did to prepare and it worked for us. You may do none of this and get pregnant right away, or you may do all of this and unfortunately not conceive right away, this is just what worked for us!

GENDER REVEAL!!!
Baby Raborn is a........
BOY!!!!!
Our sweet rainbow baby is a boy, just as I always knew. This baby is so so loved. I have known deep inside that this was a boy since before we lost our first baby. I knew the first baby born into my arms would be our little boy. We've had his named picked out from the end of 2013 and intend to use that and will share his name with his birth announcement! :) His name is super normal and somewhat common (just like our favorite girl name picked out) and his middle name will be a family name (also like for the girl name we picked out as well for our second baby ;)).
The joy cannot be described that we have for our SON. It will be so difficult to wait on his arrival. I've always pictured holding his little self swaddled in baby blue and just rocking him to sleep after a 1am feeding. I see myself pushing him around in the stroller in our neighborhood and Lucy just licking his little face any chance she can sneak her tongue in the basket. I see Lucy and Baby Rabe playing on the floor and every noise made by little Rabe will result in Lucy tilting her head and moving closer to protect her new brother. I look forward to breastfeeding (and freaking out the people who are freaked out by breastfeeding 😒). And I look forward to teaching him all about his family's heritage and getting him ready for football one day to play for UT😁.
Gender can show so much and I am so excited to know this much more of his identity. I dream of what his features will look like I'm going to guess, 6 pounds 7 oz, 19 inches, and his pale skin with a few freckles on his cheeks, strawberry blonde hair, and baby blue eyes looking up at me. He will be 6'2" when he grows up and will probably be a clone of Cody in about every way. I wonder if he will have the same dimple on his chin like I have or if he will have the amazing memory I have! These next 33 weeks will be so exciting as I await for his arrival and feeling his first kicks!
(P.S. we found out his gender so early by doing the Sneak Peek maternal blood draw at just 7 weeks along and it is 99.9% accurate. We will be quadruple checking his gender when we get the genetic blood test results back in about 3 weeks.
Here are some pics of the party!
I was so fortunate to share this special moment with so many family members today. I am so grateful for this healthy baby and so grateful all of my family happened to be here this weekend to celebrate with us!
We love you baby Rabe!

WE'RE PREGNANT!!!
We are due with our little rainbow baby early June 2022!!
We are currently 9 weeks 6 days along with our rainbow baby and are absolutely stoked! And surprised! (and we have known the gender for over 3 weeks ;) stay tuned for that post!) We had always decided we would start trying in October 2021 (since like before we were married) but September came around and we were just itching to have a baby so on a whim Cody said, lets just try now so I was like, what the heck, lets go. But I realized we had missed my fertile window because I was on a family trip but Cody said lets try anyways so somehow we conceived the day after ovulation. I felt extremely pregnant right away but thought for sure it didn't work because of the bad timing and kept getting negative pregnancy tests. Then we finally got the positive, it had actually worked!
We had a 7 week 1 day ultrasound on Monday the 25th of October and things are looking perfect and heartbeat was at 126, THANK THE LORD and we also had an ultrasound at 8 weeks 6 days and our little baby waved and moved it's butt down! It was so surreal, his/her heartbeat was 167!!! My numbers had been looking great this whole time and I was put on progesterone just in case and it has made the world of difference in this pregnancy. I have felt so sick this time around though with such extreme nausea (with limited vomiting (thank the Lord)). I attribute that to the progesterone supplements. It has been so hard hiding it from all of the family this time around. Day zero of this pregnancy is September 5th.
This time we found out I was pregnant by myself again because when we tested together at the 3 week 1 day mark we got a negative pregnancy test and kept getting them for the next 6 days until I gave up testing. Then I missed my period (even though I was spotting the day before just like I always do before my period, but it was implantation bleeding really) and took another test the next evening and it had a faint positive second line!!!! I took it by myself because I just knew it would be negative like it was the day before, but it wasn't! I was in such denial, when I saw the faint second line I didn't believe it and was mad that they made the cheap pregnancy tests have a fake second line because people were going to think they were pregnant. Then I thought about how that sounded and I took another cheap test and it had the same line and then a digital test and it said a very clear +YES+. I was ecstatic but so mad at myself for taking it without Cody. So I got to surprise Cody again by hiding the test in an empty amazon box and saying something strange came in the mail but he guessed it before he opened it. He had known I was pregnant for quite a while, like I thought I was, but the tests kept saying no. So we technically found out at 4 weeks and 1 day along. Last time we found out at 3 weeks 1 day so I'm guessing since we started trying on a whim and it was after ovulation, the baby had a late implantation. I guess.
I am so grateful we got pregnant basically before the first try! God has blessed us with great fertility but now we have just been praying so heavily every day since that positive pregnancy test that this baby is healthy. I just know it in my gut that this is another boy. It just is. Stay tuned for the gender blog tomorrow! What are your final guesses? To accurately make an educated guess, you have to know the stats, the gender is determined by the male's genes/sperm so with that being said, on Cody's dads side, he has a brother, an uncle, a female and male cousin which the male cousin has two boys. Cody's great grandfather had 4 sisters and one brother. So with all of that knowledge, what is your guess? (P.S., I want one of each and Cody is ok with that too). And not that this determines anything with the gender, but I also have an uncle and two boy cousins on my dads side and one of the boy cousins has two boys as well . My grandfather had a sister. Anyways, we used the SneakPeek gender testing and found out the baby's gender at 7 weeks! Can you believe it?! Put your final gender guesses in the comments below! We won't know before the party either!
