Honeymoon Part 2

So for our second part of our honeymoon we went to DISNEY WORLD! Surprise!!!! What a blessing! Since we didn't get to have a whole week at the beach like we originally were supposed to, we decided to take 4 days in Disney as our continued honeymoon! Three weeks after we got back from the beach, settled in, and finished summer football camp, we packed up and headed to Disney. The weekend before the fourth of July was when we got last minute travel details down and got our luggage's by the door. At 5:30am on the morning of the fourth of July (which was our 1 month anniversary) we hopped in the car and took off towards the Atlanta airport with our snack bag.

We got there at 9:00am with plenty of time to spare and went through security and got vanilla froyo with fruit for our breakfast.

Our plane left at 11:00am and we boarded and had a very smooth flight in Delta's new planes! We got to watch Zootopia on the seat backs for FREE! Go Delta! The flight was an hour and a half and hopped on the Magical express once we arrived in Florida. The Magical Express took 1 1/2 hours to get to our Caribbean Beach Resort at Disney and we arrived at 2:30pm, 30 minutes until check in time. Our luggage was delivered to our room and we immediately started exploring. Caribbean Beach was so awesome!! The food, pools, and gift shop was AWESOME! We stayed in the Jamaica section. There were also actual beaches with hammocks!!

Then it was time to get to our 5:15pm dinner reservations at The Rainforest Cafe inside Animal Kingdom! After dinner, we explored around Animal Kingdom and went back to the resort. We immediately bought bride and groom mickey ears and I wore mine almost nonstop! It was so cool having everyone stop and tell us congratulations!
There was a veil attached to mine! So perfect for me!

We also got cool badges to wear! Here we are headed to our dinner!

The rest of the evening, Cody and I laid in the hammock watching the 4th of July fireworks from all the different parks and explored all around our resort! Of course we had to get ice cream!
His eyes! LOL!!

The next morning we woke up early, ate delicious resort breakfast and went to Epcot.

Cody really helped me open my mind and like Epcot! Our family had never really cared for Epcot in the past. Our favorite ride was Fast Track! It was the coolest thing in the whole world! And boy was it hot! Every day we were there in Disney it was 96 degrees! Each day we had a big meal, snack, and quick service meal. That night we had dinner reservations at 8:55pm at Chef Mickey!

Minnie posed with us and was so excited for our new marriage!

They gave us free congrats cupcakes wherever we went!

We had so much fun riding the monorail and the food was delicious!! We then explored the Grand Floridian and listened to the live band!

The next morning, Wednesday, we woke up early for our 8:30am Crystal Palace breakfast in Magic Kingdom and spent the day in Magic Kingdom. We spent 12 hours riding rides nonstop with the cool new wristband fast passes! Our favorite ride of course was Splash Mountain. We ate dinner at our hotel that night and enjoyed relaxing!

How magical!

On Thursday, we woke up very early and went to Animal Kingdom.

The new tree light show!!

This felt like the hottest day yet since not much is inside. We rode the safari ride at 10:00am and saw so many active animals! Our supposed to be 20 minute safari lasted 45 minutes!! All the animals were blocking the road! It was so awesome to witness!
If you look VERY closely, you will see the goat very defiantly having a face-off with the vehicle! He stood like that not moving an inch for 15 minutes! Even after the safari vehicle scooted closer and closer. Brave goat, I like it!

Look at that longhorn!!

Flamingos

Our favorite ride was Dinosaur! Also we saw the Lion King show which Cody hadn't seen before and it was so incredible! Too bad mount Everest was closed along with the river rapids ride.

We then park hopped to MGM, or Hollywood studios (I refuse to call it Hollywood studios, I hate change) I had never been! It is now overrun by Star Wars which i'm not complaining about. But we saw a bunch of really neat shows like Indiana Jones and had our dinner reservations at Brown Derby at 4:30pm. The food was very good!
Indiana Jones show!

At 9:00pm we saw the Fantasmic! Best show Disney has to offer hands down!

Then we booked it back over to Animal kingdom (we had park hopper passes every day) and rode the rapid rivers 2 or 3 times since it was open now. I. GOT. SOAKED. It was 11:30pm and I was cold and shivering. But it was so worth it!

The next morning, Friday, our final morning, I woke up with this wicked sore throat. I kept sneezing and my nose wouldn't stop running and I felt TERRIBLE. I'm pretty sure I had a fever. So we packed up and checked our stuff in with the bellhop because we had to be out of our room at 9:00am, and raced over to make our breakfast reservations at Ohanas over at the Polynesian hotel!

I had never eaten there before and really loved the Hawaiian Lilo and Stitch theme! We then took a bus over to Downtown Disney which is now called Disney Springs which they completely redid. We shopped around for family souvenirs and ate Ghirardelli ice cream! Oh so good! We also made our own custom disneymoon tshirts!! They turned out so well! We then headed back to the hotel at 3:00pm and had the Magic Express take us back to the airport. Our flight wasn't until 7:00pm. We had quite the time getting though security. They didn't like our small snow globe ONE BIT. So we had to go back through security twice and have the nearby Disney store ship it to us back home. Our plane was delayed from bad weather and it stormed on our drive from the Atlanta airport all the way back home. We got home at 1:00am. We missed Disney a lot.

It was such a neat experience being able to visit Disney especially as a honeymoon with Cody. I always wanted to go with Cody before kids came into the picture! It is nice traveling just the two of us and getting to combine both of our families Disney traditions to create our own! We had so much fun and had such a special one-on-one time together before football goes from every day until Christmas. We needed this time.

Love,
