Weekly Pregnancy Updates BB #2 (Constantly Updated)

WE ARE EXPECTING AGAIN AND IT'S ANOTHER PRECIOUS LITTLE BOY!!

We got pregnant on October 13th 2023, we started fertility meds (progesterone) on October 29th, the day we conceived. We found out we were pregnant this time at 8dpo on Monday November 6th. We found out the baby was a boy on Wednesday November 29th, we told our families on Saturday December 2nd. We saw our baby boy on ultrasound Thursday December 7th at 7wks6d gestation but he was measuring 2 days ahead. He had a beautiful heartrate of 155bpm. We find out at 12 weeks if he has clubbed feet or not.

I had symptoms starting at 5 days post ovulation and everything is mirroring Conner's pregnancy to a 'T' so far. Morning sickness nausea is kicking my butt!

Watch me grow!!!!

We had our first ultrasound at 8 weeks instead of 7 weeks because my doctor was out of town which made me a nervous wreck. Thankfully baby was happy and healthy and had a strong heartbeat.

We took genetic testing this week but didn't get it until 5 weeks later with lots of begging but thank God everything came back normal!

Ultrasound showed normal feet for baby.

Baby was negative for spinabifida! Also ultrasound showed normal feet as well.

Not a fun anatomy scan. Why can't we just have normal and happy scan like everyone else. Baby magically has both feet clubbed all of a sudden. That is impossible and even our doctors are confused but it is what it is. Time for the stages of "grief" again.

Passed my 1hr glucose test with flying colors by the GRACE of God. I still have no idea how. I am so so grateful. We also loved loved our 4D ultrasound again!! We will do that every time, how do people skip that!? Baby is measuring at 3lbs3oz.

30 years old pregnant at 30 weeks! Also ultrasound confirmed clubbed feet.

We had our baby sprinkle this week and at 35 weeks took maternity pictures!!

We got our last ultrasound and baby is weighing 6lbs7oz, exactly the same as Conner at this point!!

Wowza what a difference! I LOVE being pregnant and I LOVE my 9 month pregnant body but I also love feeling like myself. It's all just seasons of life and I'm here for it all. I will be excited to be back to my normal self in a little over a year though! But I have the rest of my life to look like that, in pregnancy I only had 18 short months to love my rapidly changing body. Words can't describe how much I will miss this.

Different outfit, different pose, different location, and different journey, and different baby. All so different but yet so similar. I want to take in every second and I don't take a moment for granted.

Thank you God for this gift and these two opportunities to have 2 babies!

WE ARE EXPECTING OUR RAINBOW BABY!!!!!
AND IT'S A BOY!!!!

http://rockinraborns.blogspot.com/2021/11/were-pregnant.html
Fun fact: I had this post and the gender reveal post (minus the pictures of course) written back in June 2021, 3 months before we were pregnant because I was so sure I would be pregnant in September. Bold or full of Faith? You decide!

1ST TRIMESTER

October 4th 2021 7:36pm

I surprised Cody with this 'mystery' box when he came home 2 hours later.

We celebrated by going to the Whistle Stop!

We knew just the two of us for 3 weeks and it was so special.

HCG levels and measurements 2 days after finding out and 2 days after that:

Then we saw the baby and heard and saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks 1 day and the baby was measuring 6 weeks 5 days along. The nerves leading up to this ultrasound were unreal. I didn't sleep at all the night before.

I was so proud to wear this shirt finally.

We told family at 7 weeks along and got these announcement pictures taken by my sweet mom and soon-to-be grandma!

2 Week Wait Symptoms:

We had always decided we would start trying in October 2021 (since like before we were married) but September 2021 came around and we were just itching to have a baby so on a whim Cody said, lets just try now so I was like what the heck, lets go. But I realized we had missed my fertile window because I was on a family trip but Cody said lets try anyways. So immediately I started to feel pregnant after "ovulation" (which I did last pregnancy also) but I don't believe it because of the poor timing of us trying.

My ava bracelet has the breathing rate, basal body temperature, and the HRV ratio has continually kept going up with no variation whatsoever and it has kept a constant upwards trend these last 13 days which it NEVER does. Normally it dips up and down the last 12 days of my cycle. So that is interesting.

The reason I call it the 2-6 day wait is because with my Ava bracelet I can analyze the data very well and 2 days after ovulation with how my stats are tracking, I can tell you if I'm pregnant or not and at the 6 day mark it confirms it if my temperature goes over 97.99F. At the 2 day mark, my temperature will raise by 0.5F and at the 3 or 4 day mark it will raise 1F from ovulation day. Also my resting pulse rate, and breathing rate continue to raise every day after ovulation with pregnancy instead of vary up and down after ovulation from a non pregnancy cycle. The pregnancy test will only pick up the hcg levels 7 or 8 days post ovulation so I only have to wait 2 days instead of 8 or even the 14 or 15 before your period is missed. I love data and I love science!

So for the 2 day wait I will agonizingly wait to sleep so I can wake up and sync my data on the Ava app and read the results and study the trends.

Symptoms (starting the day after ovulation):

Boobs looked swollen, my uterus/fallopian tubes felt like they were being used and felt swollen, slight cramping, easy to anger, pee in the middle of the night, teeth started to hurt again like last pregnancy, no breakouts on my face, muscle cramps in the middle of the night, my body ached and my knees hurt. I was more clumsy and tripped a lot, I cried at random things which I never do, I had a weird taste in my mouth constantly, my fall candles and scents smelled like farts, I had headaches I couldn't shake, all I wanted was cheese and ice cream like last time, I didn't have an appetite, I had a lot of gas, I almost threw up mac n cheese, I had bad insomnia like last time, I had vivid dreams, acid reflux, and bad body odor I couldn't figure out and my stomach looked huge from bloat which was so weird. And this was all before the positive pregnancy test.

OUR FIRST PREGNANCY IN 2020 IS BELOW:
Welcome! As you have seen in the announcement post, Cody and I are expecting!....A baby, not a dinosaur (or puppy)😅. We are so incredibly blessed and so incredibly surprised. Also stick around for other posts and information about the gender reveal, doctor's appointments, showers, packing the hospital bag, Nursery set up and tour, my birth plan, birth story, and meeting the baby!!
This has been the hardest secret to keep and we are so ready to share! Baby Rabe is due December 31st 2020!

Weekly Updates:
.............................................
0-2 Weeks Technically not pregnant but in the medical world, the first day of your last period is day one. So oh well. But I know exactly when I ovulated therefore how far along I really am (especially considering my cycles are 33-34 days and not 28 days.

Starting Look pre-pregnancy

........................................................
-3 Weeks-
4/16-4/22
LH surge and ovulation occurs (April 16th 2020). You are pregnant but baby hasn't implanted in your uterus yet so no pregnancy test would pick up a positive.

3 week "bump"

Size of a cupcake sprinkle.

-4 Weeks-
4/23-4/29
Implantation. Cody and I found out at 9 days post ovulation which is 3 weeks 1 day (the earliest day you can find out) due to strange symptoms I was having that prompted me to take a test (April 26th 2020). I went to the doctor and confirmed the pregnancy through a blood draw at the 3 week 2 day mark and again 3 days after that. I have my first ultrasound (8 weeks) on May 22nd. That should be fun! Hopefully we will hear the heartbeat by then! Our gender reveal party will be in less than 7 short weeks at our house from the genetic blood screening at our 10 week appointment. And we will be announcing to you around week 13-14 in which we will already know the gender but will announce a week after that. I am currently 4 weeks and 2 days (on 5/2/2020). The babies due date is roughly January 6th 2021.
This little baby is so so loved. My mothers intuition is 100% boy along with Codys guess, so this little guy is already so blessed. I actually study gender mapping and have for years, Cody and I have an 80% chance that every baby we have will be a boy. That is a little difficult for me as I come from a family overrun by girls and the opposite for Cody. Cody has wanted a baby since the day we tied the knot. I have been a little harder to convince. I just can't wait to share this news with my family on Mothers day! I have separate announcement plans for each family group! And wow, my first mothers day as a mom!
The morning I took the pregnancy tests, I saw the line appear and it was almost like I knew already. It was accepted in my soul. I immediately grabbed the UT booties I had stashed away for years waiting for this very moment to surprise Cody and wrote on the case, Newest Vol fan coming soon! I wrote Cody a little note and threw the pregnancy tests into a box and ran to him and had him open it. He had no idea and was in complete shock. He was so excited!! Cody was an easy baby and child as was I so I anticipate the same will go for our little one. Also I was born with blonde hair and blue eyes (limited hair I might add) as was Cody. So I already know what our baby will look like. Isn't that cool!
I marked out the blue because it had the babies name if it's a boy.

I have had such an easy pregnancy so far (granted I am still so early) I have had limited symptoms and have a ton of energy. My mom, and both grandmothers had a breeze of pregnancies so it could be genetic which I am so blessed! I have lost 5.5 pounds simply because I'm not hungry in the least.

I can't wait to join the mommy club and have the best job in the world!! I was born for this!!! I'm a mama no matter what happens from here!!

Baby is the size of a sugar crystal and is 0.05inches long. Baby Raborn likes certain foods one second and the next not. He is funny.
2 week wait symptoms:
More like 8 day wait symptoms for me since I tested so early and got a positive. I test every month just in case so I was paying attention to my body during these 8 days. Starting on the conception day, I had the worst headache ever and took 2 advil which is not good but I didn't know. I thought it was PMS symptoms. I also took a massive tumble walking towards the bottom of the stairs which is very unlike me. 3 days later I had cramping and slight bleeding which I thought was my period starting and took a hot hot bath (also not great but I didn't know). The "period" lasted 4 days. That same day I had HORRIBLE acid reflux which was slightly out of character and had to sleep siting up. The next day the hummus, my tea, almond milk, and Gatorade tasted weird. Then I started forgetting what I was saying in the middle of my sentence. I then started to get out of breath from nothing and then for the past 2 weeks straight currently, I sleep no more than 5 hours a night. Pregnancy insomnia is real man. Then I started having to pee every 1.5-2 hours all day. All of this was so odd and pushed me to guess this is what was wrong. Then I wasn't hungry AT ALL. I have zero nausea and zero breast tenderness.

Baby is the size of a poppy seed!

.......................................................................
-5 Weeks-
4/30-5/6
Update: During this sweet 5th week of pregnancy, our baby got a heartbeat on 5 weeks 6 days! Baby is 0.30inches long and weighs 0.01oz. Celebrate! I also went in and got my blood drawn again since it was so early still on 5 weeks 5 days and my HCG levels were 1,377!!! My progesterone levels are 20.9 which is why I can't breathe😅. I still can't get over I'm having a baby! We tell our parents in the middle of week 6 during my first mothers day!!!

Symptoms: I still feel really great! My food aversions have significantly lightened up and smells don't bother me anymore. No nausea yet or of course throwing up. I still have a lot of energy and am working out almost daily. I still don't have any breast tenderness and I slept for the first time more than 3-5 hours in a day since before I was 3 weeks pregnant! Praise the Lord!!! I lost a total of 5.7 pounds, and I'm 1.7 pounds down from my pre-pregnancy weight. (I had originally gained like ~4 pounds from "week 1-2" from my last period and the water weight that it usually brings). I had a really upset stomach for 3 days straight which made eating difficult but luckily that has gone away. It was most likely from such the rise in HCG levels so quickly!! Also the other symptom I am experiencing is anger. So I have figured out pregnancy doesn't change your moods as much as it does enhance it. So I can get angry really easy so now I am irate for no reason and have to work out to cool off. So that is frustrating. My skin has been EXTREMELY smooth like a baby's butt to the point Cody keeps commenting on it! My lower legs have been getting the sensation that there are spiders/ants/cobwebs on them and it is annoying.

Common misconceptions: I still look and feel the same. I had to take a pregnancy test again to make sure the baby didn't just disappear because I feel almost completely normal. I also assumed during pregnancy you wouldn't even recognize yourself because immediately you would start to put on weight, look bloated, and/or just look different. All of the announcement shirts I bought were a Large because I truly thought you just lost your body right away like everyone says but so far I look the exact same. So I re-ordered the shirts in my normal size small. Right now, my pants actually fit looser everywhere and I have lost some fat around my face, arms, and back!

Baby is the size of a cake sprinkle (the longer sprinkles).

No bump yet!
..............................................................
-6 Weeks-
5/7-5/13
Update: During this sweet 6th week of pregnancy, we celebrated our first mothers day and told our families!! Our baby is growing right along! Baby is 0.50inches long and weighs 0.02oz. Celebrate!

Symptoms: I still feel really good! In the beginning of week 6 I had the urge to chew on something that had give like tougher gummy bears or the heel of a load of bread. Not to eat it because i'm still having aversions like crazy, but to have the chewing sensation. Bubble gum just won't do.  I'm starting to have some leg tingling when I move funny or am sitting or laying down for longer than an hour. The crazy headaches from the beginning of week 3 have come back with a vengeance. I'm able to work out a lot more now which is great to help my extra energy. Towards the end of this week I was able to finally starting to feel breast tenderness. It feel a lot like PMS soreness. On the last day of week 6 I was able to feel slight pressure in my uterus which makes sense because it is double the size it normally is now!

Common misconceptions: I always thought pregnant women could physically feel the baby or sense it was there. This is not the case at all, at least in the first trimester. It feels no different. I literally can't sense there is a baby which is why it is sometimes hard to believe still. My uterus feels no difference, just a slight fullness feeling which is so strange. It's like being bloated where your bladder is. So odd.
Baby is the size of a jellybean!!!!!

We told our family this week! Head to the blog post about their specific reactions!
..............................................................
-7 Weeks-
5/14-5/20
Update: During this sweet 7th week of pregnancy, we told the rest of Cody's family the news!! They were so ecstatic!  Our baby is growing right along! Baby is 0.63inches long and weighs 0.04oz. Celebrate!

Symptoms: My breathlessness has finally subsided, thank goodness. The pregnancy dreams are real. They are not strange, just very vivid. I'm still dealing with pretty bad headaches but that's ok. I can feel my uterus stretching now which is so weird. I am getting sunburned a lot easier which I found around even week 3. I get exhausted a lot easier now. Hikes or strenuous housework gets me really tired instead of more energized. I've been craving ranch dressing on plain bread. So so weird. I'm still having severe aversions to most foods unfortunately.

Common misconceptions: I never realized how easy it was to get pregnant. I genuinely thought you had to will it to happen or incision it. Like for us, I was 100% unaware and didn't have to do a thing it just happened. So many people walk through infertility so I just assumed it was something agonized over and meditated on or obsessed over. Who knew it could really happen without any of that.

Baby is the size of a gummy bear!!

..............................................................
-8 Weeks-
5/21-5/27
Update: During this sweet 8th week of pregnancy!! Ultrasound is later this week
