Baby Raborn is a........
BOY!!!!!
Our sweet rainbow baby is a boy, just as I always knew. This baby is so so loved. I have known deep inside that this was a boy since before we lost our first baby. I knew the first baby born into my arms would be our little boy. We've had his named picked out from the end of 2013 and intend to use that and will share his name with his birth announcement! :) His name is super normal and somewhat common (just like our favorite girl name picked out) and his middle name will be a family name (also like for the girl name we picked out as well for our second baby ;)).
The joy cannot be described that we have for our SON. It will be so difficult to wait on his arrival. I've always pictured holding his little self swaddled in baby blue and just rocking him to sleep after a 1am feeding. I see myself pushing him around in the stroller in our neighborhood and Lucy just licking his little face any chance she can sneak her tongue in the basket. I see Lucy and Baby Rabe playing on the floor and every noise made by little Rabe will result in Lucy tilting her head and moving closer to protect her new brother. I look forward to breastfeeding (and freaking out the people who are freaked out by breastfeeding 😒). And I look forward to teaching him all about his family's heritage and getting him ready for football one day to play for UT😁.
Gender can show so much and I am so excited to know this much more of his identity. I dream of what his features will look like I'm going to guess, 6 pounds 7 oz, 19 inches, and his pale skin with a few freckles on his cheeks, strawberry blonde hair, and baby blue eyes looking up at me. He will be 6'2" when he grows up and will probably be a clone of Cody in about every way. I wonder if he will have the same dimple on his chin like I have or if he will have the amazing memory I have! These next 33 weeks will be so exciting as I await for his arrival and feeling his first kicks!
(P.S. we found out his gender so early by doing the Sneak Peek maternal blood draw at just 7 weeks along and it is 99.9% accurate. We will be quadruple checking his gender when we get the genetic blood test results back in about 3 weeks.
Here are some pics of the party!
I was so fortunate to share this special moment with so many family members today. I am so grateful for this healthy baby and so grateful all of my family happened to be here this weekend to celebrate with us!
We love you baby Rabe!
