Honeymoon Part 1

Let me tell you what!! Honeymoons are the absolute sweetest!

I won't tell you too many details to preserve the specialness and sanctity of our first time together as one. And plus trust me....you won't want too many details ;) #newlyweds

So with that being said I am mainly posting scenery pics of Gods creations!

So the morning after the wedding we got up and left at noon to Panama City Beach Florida! The most beautiful place on earth in my opinion!! The drive took 7 1/2 hours. We drove instead of flew so we could have the freedom of our own car and nothing to tie us down. And just take a look at the view from our beach house room! We stayed in this beautiful beach house on the sand! Every morning we watched the gorgeous sunrise, and watched the sunsets in the evening on one of the two porches. The master suite porch on the third level was more of an intimate porch/balcony. We loved hearing the ocean all night long! The whole third floor was the masters suite and just had our balcony, big bed, and huge bathroom!

These are my 'Just married' flip flops I got from one of my bridal showers! I just LOVE them! I stomped around everywhere in these :).

The first day it stormed but as each day progressed the waters became more and more clear! I mean look at this! This is like a swimming pool!!!It made for great snorkeling adventures with Cody!! And yes we saw 2 sharks while we were there.

The sunsets!

Sea bubbles

White sand

Each day we got Thomas' Donuts, stayed on the beach relaxing 3-6 hours, went to dinner, had ice cream, and watched the sunset as we walked on the beach. We got literally no sleep but we wouldn't have had it any other way. We were so excited to be there, we woke up at 4:00am every morning. Yeah I know, LOL.

Doesn't this look like it should go on a postcard! I mean it even has the perfectly placed chair and umbrella!

Photo shoot day on the last day. Had to do it. The sand was so soft!

The stormy day after the rain Monday. The waters were too rough so Cody and I made sand castles the remaining part of the day.

Our master's suite balcony

The main balcony/porch. We ate breakfast here every morning and watched the sunset in those tall chairs talking and bonding until the wee hours of the morning. This established and was the start of our new little family of just the two of us, the Raborns!

We tried desserts wherever and whenever we could. It's the honeymoon! There's always time to lose that weight later!

The breathtaking view of one of the restaurants called Schooners. You can walk on the sand and go back to your seat whenever you want!

The only actual activity we did (since we couldn't pry ourselves away from the beach) was swimming with the dolphins at Gulf World! I highly highly recommend this to everyone. We had such an amazing 1.5 hour experience getting to ride, do tricks, and pet the dolphins!

The dolphin actually smiled for Cody. It was so proud to do tricks! Its name was Angel!

Very talented little 1.5 year old dolphin!

Of course being the kid I am, I had to eat blue colored ice cream which turned lips, teeth, and tongue colors!

The day it was time to leave, Cody and I cleaned up the three level beach house of our stuff and literally almost cryingly got in the car. It was so hard to leave paradise. But of course it made it easier knowing we were about to live together the rest of our lives and that is the best paradise of them all. This was the best trip of our lives and we will remember it forever. I still dream about it some nights! There was no time more special than this and we soaked up every second of 'us' time.

I don't think couples should wait to go on their honeymoons for a half a year or a year+ later. It was the most special thing in the world to leave straight from the wedding onto our forever, driving to the beach. That time when your heart is so bursting with love and you are just on cloud nine, nothing else matters but you two. Back at home doesn't exist, work doesn't exist, nothing but each other. It is so special, peaceful, serene, and beautiful that time together. Everywhere we went exploring and elsewhere at the beach, Cody and I kept beaming and showing strangers our rings and saying we just got married. It is beyond incredible! The whole drive to the beach Cody and I kept staring into each others eyes saying we're married, 'you're my wife', 'you're my husband.' There is NOTHING more -special in this world than honeymoons. A time to focus on each other, re-center, and grow in faith together to see what Gods plans are for you in your marriage and when to start a family.

We got home at 7:00pm that night and I of course had to rep my new initials by wearing my new shirt Cody gave me last Christmas on the drive home. It was fun for us to settle in but we knew that the Disney trip was right around the corner of honeymoon part 2 so we were pumped. Fun fact: we officially got my name changed 20 days after the wedding. It takes a while! Hope you enjoyed a little tidbit into our honeymoon.

To be honest guys, it took so much of me to decide to even write this much for this blog post or to even post at all. Everyone looks down upon it, then you doubt yourself, and don't want to 'ruin' the special-ness. It makes you wonder if you are wronging God, your family, your husband, your marriage and everything for sharing your heart like in this post. But really it just hit me. I WANT to share some of the amazingness of this trip with you. I want you to be able to experience a little bit of it too! So I can hopefully inspire your journey to be closer to the lord, see and be reminded of the gift of marriage through the eyes of a newlywed, or make your day a little better. Or just have you enjoy experiencing a little bit of a beach trip if you haven't had the chance to vacation in a while in this crazy world! I wanted to share and that's just what I did. I do hope you enjoy and plus don't you want to hear how someone's honeymoon went?! I always do but it is never spoken about! I shared all of this with my family so why not my blog family!?! I am a very real and very (happily) transparent person. I have nothing to hide and I am a very friendly person. I hope you did enjoy the beautiful beach pictures of Gods creations and the start of me and Cody's life together!!

With so much love,
