#Adventure year 2020 and 2021!
We finally went snow skiing after 13 1/2 years and back at Sugar Mountain!! For the first weekend of Spring Break and to celebrate mom's birthday, we all drove up to see Morgan and Edgar in Johnson City to snow ski together! Morgan and Edgar live only an hour away from the slopes so we spent the night with them and headed that way early in the morning.
The slopes were beautiful early in the morning.
Being March 14th, the slopes were DESERTED and AMAZING! The rates were super cheap and it was still pretty cold!
We started on the bunny slope and made our way to the green and blue slopes as the day progressed. We all surprisingly did quite well! Muscle memory was so kind to us.
Edgar had never skied or snow boarded so he took the leap and tried snow boarding! After only 2 hours, he was a pro!
We stopped for a quick bite to eat then right back on the slopes! Don't want to waste a second!
My green slope buddies!
So cute!
And my blue slope buddy! Boy, the blue slope was steep. The picture below shows the drop off😬
We skied for about 6 hours that day and hated to go home. But we will be back and we loved Sugar Mountain so much! A few things had changed over the years and we were so impressed with everything!
This was also right before corona hit in full force. We were very lucky.
Anyways, happy birthday mom! We loved celebrating you today and you deserve nothing but the best this year! You have a heart of gold and love Morgan and I more than anything in this world. Thank you for all you have done for us in this past year alone through weddings, moving, cleaning, and TONS of moral support. I seriously don't know what I would do without you mom!
Love,
Kayla
