June 1st 2019
at 4:00 in the afternoon in Knoxville TN,
I'd like to introduce to you for the very first time,
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar and Morgan Guerra!
Morgan's wedding day was pure bliss and her and Edgar looked so happy! Morgan was absolutely the prettiest bride, she was stunning! They got married at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the reception at Knoxville Museum of Art. Morgan used almost every single vendor I used which was really special and we danced the night away to Latin music until 8:30pm!
Before we go any further, I had to post this trio of pictures! All three of us in our veils on our wedding day! I think Morgan looks the most like mom when she got married!
So stunning!
Now I know I posted this schedule in the previous post but I wanted to put it up here again because I was the wedding coordinator (like I was for my own wedding), and schedules are key to a well run event! If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!
And Thursday night when we all came in after work, we sorted through everything and laid everything out for each day and event of the weekend. Edgar drove up to Kingsport Thursday day to move his car and stuff into Morgan's apartment once she got home from work.
So as the schedule suggested, on Friday morning bright and early the three of us got our nails done across the street! We got french tips on our hands and our toes were based off of Morgan's color inspiration flower (you'll see)!
I hadn't gotten my nails done but three times in the last 12 years so this was a treat!
Next was Morgan's bridesmaids luncheon at noon! We raced in, changed clothes and just as we got downstairs, the guests arrived. I wish I had more pictures of the event but this is all I got! Gigi had the house looking so beautiful and aunt Steph made her famous lasagna!
While we were gathering for 2 1/2 hours, the rest of Edgar's family was at Nana's clubhouse near the church setting up for the rehearsal dinner.
After the luncheon and the walk to the dock, we rushed to change into our rehearsal/rehearsal dinner clothes and raced out the door to have the flower sneak peak below and to set the church up!
Morgan designed her bouquet from Melissa Timm and it didn't disappoint. Morgan loves color and that's just what she got! This bouquet weighed about 6 pounds which really gave Morgan an arm workout throughout the day!
The rehearsal started at 4:30pm and lasted until 6:30pm! It was an hour longer than mine! Morgan had a slightly larger wedding party than I did.
Then we promptly went to the rehearsal dinner where Edgar's family had prepared authentic Mexican food! I left my phone in the car but Nana and Tonya did an amazing job decorating! I played the bride/groom game with Morgan and Edgar where they sit back to back and answer questions about each other using their shoes. If you don't know what i'm talking about search on Pinterest for this game! It was a blast!
We left there and hung out with the Dyar crew for about an hour after helping clean up and went back to Gigi's to set up for the big day!
The next day we woke up bright and early for our hair and makeup (at Beliza where Cody's cousin used to work) and promptly went back to Gigi's to get Morgan into her dress then to meet Edgar at worlds fair park for the first look and couple pictures.
While they were doing that, we packed up Morgan's car, got dressed ourselves, and drove Morgan's car and me and Cody's car to the church. Cody and I packed our car up too because we were spending the night at Nana's that night to spend more time with dad.
Both of us in the church on our wedding day with mama!
We took a lot of family pictures with the bridal party and family from 2:00-3:30pm before the 4:00pm wedding!
I couldn't help but make side-by-side similar pictures! The original Dyar clan! I can't believe we are all grown up and in this stage of life already!
The new "Dyars". It is so special our family just expanded. And who knows, in 5 years we will have little ones to keep adding to the picture. Life is so so good!
The core group ;). We will be in each others lives for a long long time, going on trips, visiting each other's houses, having our kids grow up as best friends/cousins together. It is going to be so special!
The Dyar girls!
Me and sister!
Had to recreate the same pic! A lot changes in 3 years! Time marches on....
🧡🧡
This bundle of snapdragons were the color inspiration for Morgan's whole wedding! I love it so much. The bridesmaids each had a bouquet of it!
Hurray!
This was the bridal suite before the big moment! We had a blast in there!
Morgan right before she walked down the aisle with her gummies!
***I will have more official pictures to post from the photographers later on from the ceremony and everything!*** Stay tuned!
After the ceremony, we all headed to the art museum for food, cake, and dancing!
Their cake even had colorful funfetti sprinkles in it!
Their sweet first dance to Lights Down Low. The Ogle DJ's were outstanding! They did an amazing job, I highly recommend them!
After the dance they got to eat a few bites and I said my Matron of Honor speech to Morgan and Edgar! I was a little nervous but very excited to share it!
Before I end the post, I had to share a close up of my hair that Abby from Beliza did for me! It was beyond perfect!
Morgan wanted to get a close up of the matron of honor dress! I matched the color of the junior bridesmaid.
Both of our leaving limo pics!!!!
Here we are with our INCREDIBLE photographers Tia and Shane! They are absolute rock stars! A few weeks ago Shane even saved the day officiating a couples wedding when their preacher got lost and couldn't make it on time! They are a rock star bunch and will even travel with you! Definitely book them for your next big occasion! They do a wide variety of occasions!
...................................
Not to take away from Morgan but I had to add, in honor of Morgan and I being 3 years apart, and our wedding being almost EXACTLY 3 years apart (both of us married at 22), Cody and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary 3 days later! We had a nice dinner together and watched our favorite tv show and then on the next Saturday, we had our real celebration because the work week is so busy, and recovering from all of the wedding festivites. We started Saturday off sleeping in and cuddling, going to a late lunch at Bonefish, our favorite restaurant where we go every anniversary! This time they even gave us some chocolates for the special occasion!! Then we went to see Aladdin and came home to our anniversary presents!! We had a blast!
I got the bang bang Maine Lobster roll and scallops at Bonefish!
Aladdin was an amazing movie! (excuse our squinty eyes) We contemplated seeing the Dark Pheonix instead because we (I) love Marvel movies so much thanks to my dad:)!!! But I am very happy we went with Aladdin!
I gave Cody one of our beach pictures to fill our shell frame to go in our beach-themed guest room in the new house along with a sweet little wooden plank that says, 'And so together, they built a life they love'. That goes with our life theme for the next 5 years :). And of course I had to get him Reeses! To finish his gifts, I wrote a sweet card and got him a round pizza beach towel for the pool😅.
Cody wrote me a sweet card, framed my 50 states map (you scratch off each state you have visited, I am at 18!), and a leather journal going with the traditional wedding gift lists.
I am so happy to basically share an anniversary with Morgan and Edgar, and Gigi and Granddad (theirs is June 6th).
Right now Morgan and Edgar are on their blissful honeymoon cruise right now to Cancun, the bahamas, and coco cay beach! We miss them but know they are having a blast!
Congrats Morgan and Edgar!!!!!! I love you both!!
Edgar, welcome to the family bud!
***Stay tuned for another blog post on Morgan's professional wedding pictures from ST Photography coming soon!***
With so much love,
Kayla Raborn
