Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!!!

It's the most, wonderful time of the year!

Christammmmaaaas where the snow's coming down! *I wish

Welcome to the second half of my family Christmas's!

Our first stop is Gigi's house for Gigi-claus!

We arrived at Gigi's house after work on December 21st, Friday night. While waiting on the rest of the fam to get there I pulled out my crochet to have Gigi help me fix the corners of my blanket.

I also went to the neighbors house with mom and asked to have a picture with their leg lamp! They were so excited but not as excited as I was to see the Christmas Story reference!

Once everyone arrived, we stayed up late playing jackbox games and catching up with life. We went to bed at 2:30am.

The next morning we woke up bright and early to open gifts and sat on the stairs patiently waiting for our picture to be taken.

This year Gigi gave everyone pj's with our monogrammed initials! So so cool!

Cody and I found a cozy spot on the couch to open presents.

Gigi did such a great job on gifts this year we loved everything! She is so thoughtful always thinking of us and gathering souvenirs from each trip she goes on to give us throughout the year.

Even Sasha got a stocking this year! She didn't know what to do with it :).

After presents, we ate a delicious breakfast prepared by Gigi, with love, and took naps or played games. Morgan, Mom, Edgar, and I took Sasha to a local park and swung admiring the beautiful view.

Outfit of the day! I'm finding I am starting to really appreciate fashion and love finding different styles and combinations from my wardrobe!

After a delicious ham dinner we unfortunately had to go home. We had a Sunday school Christmas party early the next morning and Cody's grandmother's Christmas in the afternoon along with all of the baking I had to do *see my Christmas Recipes blog here for the deets on the sweet desserts I made!

The next afternoon I decided to wear one of the shirts Gigi got me for Christmas to Cody's family's Christmas. *ignore the tag, I took it off right after that picture lol

I thought it was the coolest shirt!

We got to congregate in Jamie's new kitchen!

We ate delicious food and caught up on our lives. It's fun seeing family we only get to see a few times a year! Cody's cousins are growing up and are doing so well in life!

The next day we had to be back at Cody's parents house for the Raborn Christmas. Before heading over there we stopped to walk at the local green way and checked in on our lot. It was extremely peaceful and I love spending time walking with my hubby!

We had a full house at Cody's parents's. We started with a wonderful meal, opening presents, eating dessert, and putting the toys together. We also taught Cody's dad what dub step was on Alexa ;).

Beautiful tree!

Hoagies!

Cody and I got Miles a little TV that lit up, sang and had moving parts inside. It was very nostalgic and he and Kaden loved it!

I got Kaden some reindeer poop with a hot wheels car hiding inside hehe. He was hesitant at first but loved it once he found out it wasn't sticky slime.

The grand gift (from us)! A huge helix Hot Wheels track!

We had a blast putting it together for him! It reminded me of old times. Cody had never put together a Hot Wheels track before, his parents didn't get him and his brothers Hot Wheel tracks growing up. They were more into rifles and such.

The finished product. I could have sworn I took a picture with Kaden playing on the track but I can't find it anywhere :'(.

To end the night we danced, iced Santa's cookies, and laughed at each other trying to floss 😆 (the dance move ;)).

Christmas Day!!!!!

Now on to Christmas day where Cody and I purpose to spend that day just the two of us (until we have kids). It is actually really fun especially after 4 straight days of traveling.

Santa was good to us this year! We set these out the day before Christmas.

That morning we slept in and sorted our presents out.

This year at Old Navy I found these elf-like pj's and LOVE them. It's not like me to wear things like this but it was so much fun!!!

Of course, the custom stockings I made a few years back. I can't wait to make some for our future kids one day!

The big and last gift of the day was this AWESOME trampoline! You have no idea the level of excitement I had from opening this. Cody is so amazing and so sweet to get this for me. I was so surprised and so incredibly happy. I jumped on this the rest of the day in complete bliss!

It is oval shaped with covered "springs", a bounce counter, timer, handlebar, and resistance bands. It even came with a workout dvd and 3 other workout dvd's Cody got with it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the trampoline so much and honestly can't wait to have kids for this reason alone mainly, jk...kind of.

Trampolines also motivate me to work out. It is so much fun and doesn't even feel like exercising. It also helps strengthen my ankle!

:):):)

Cody also got me these sweet checkerboard overalls. I have been eyeing these for over 7 years. I was so happy to open them up! I'm already ready for the next season!

The rest of the day, we ate sausage balls (thanks to sweet Nana) and watched Christmas movies and just cuddled. We look forward to this day every year.

The week between Christmas and New Year Cody and I hiked at Volkswagen a lot and spent time with my dad and sister who were staying at my aunt and uncles house 15 minutes away.
Our semi-daily walk

It was so pretty in the winter! In the summer, you get lost really really really easily.

So we found these two bunker beauties in the woods. Creeped us out a little bit. And why was one open??

Spooky. We were too nervous to go inside,...it was so dark.

The last stop on our Merry Christmas train is my mom's Christmas! She was sweet enough to bring the Christmas to Chattanooga for Cody and I and we opened presents in our apartment!

My outfit of the day! I call this the Christmas flannel! By the way, I don't know if you realized that I wear skinny jeans now. I could never find a pair that fit right at all but surprisingly Walmart had the PERFECT pairs. I was SO surprised.

Once Mom, Edgar, and Morgan arrived at our apartment we opened presents. Morgan got a lot of gifts for her and Edgar's apartment in Kingsport.

I got a lot of necessities for our soon-to-be house! Very excited!

Sasha tried to help Morgan open her box 😂.

New Years day is always the day Cody and I (I) ;) take down the Christmas decorations in our apartment. I believe leaving them up until January 1st or 2nd is best and helps ease you into the real world lol.

Next weekend mom is taking us to Dolly Wood Christmas (which I'm so so so so excited about), officially ending the holiday season. The following weekend I will be in New York City visiting dad! I'm excited about that too!

Love,
Kayla
