White Water Tubing and Lucy Swimming!

For a late birthday present, we went white water tubing as a family in Townsend TN! It was an absolute blast and the water was so so cold!

I'm so glad we finally got to do this! The river was surprisingly calm and relaxing!

.................................................
I drove back to Knoxville 3 days later to spend time with my grandfather before his heart surgery and it went extremely well! I'm so happy I got to see him!

....................................

Lucy has been living her best life and is so excited the weather is cooling down!

I love taking Lucy to the open fields and playing together!

After my workout she decided to "help" me by repping some weights herself! Always gotta to do what mama's doing!

More creek play and imagination station walking!!

Sweet Lu Lu loves the statues and army tanks!

A little peanut butter snack to tide her over till dinner! Look at those nails so carefully holding the precious jar.

Worn out after swimming and walking!

Thank you dad! I'll just sit here and keep your foot warm, how convenient!

1 month shy of 2 years, I FINALLY got what I wanted in my bathroom. All it took was taking matters into my own hands. I should have known that after the last almost 4 years. Do you like my new and improved shelf height option in my bathroom? I decorated it with Fall flowers and I added in my perfumes, mouthwash, and hair products that were always 1/2" too short for the shelves. It has made a huge difference!!

We've been doing a lot of walking as a family lately and I absolutely love it! This is indeed my happy place!!

This bridge led us to the middle of a homeless camp and I wasn't quite sure if we'd make it out alive. It was very scary and we couldn't leave quick enough.

After my birthday, we took Lucy to swim at Harrison Bay state park! It was amazing to see her not only realize she loves deeper water but that she could swim immediately! I was so proud of her! She kept jumping in on her own over and over and swimming in little circles. I of course had to join her!

Locks of Love and Morgan's 25th Birthday!

I donated 12 inches of my hair to Locks of Love for a third time ever! I love my new hair cut and knowing this helps a child who is sick and can't have hair. I hope they enjoy the color and curl of my hair, I am so blessed for this opportunity and the ability to grow my hair so long. I have plenty to offer!
Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hair pieces to children with an incurable illness called alopecia areata. This illness prevents children from ever being able to grow hair. It takes 8-10 people to donate hair to create one hair piece so consider this option if you have long hair! You can send your picture in with our donation to so the little girl who receives her hair piece can know there are a lot of people thinking of her and praying.

.......................................................................................

For Morgan's big birthday this year, we went to visit her house and celebrate her quarter of a century birthday! She slightly struggled with it the same as I did but from there, the birthdays are so amazing!! How did we get so old Morgan?!

Comparison picture.

We took lots of evening walks around her neighborhood.

She decided to go kayaking! I love it! We had an absolute blast!

My buddy waiting for me in my room lol!

Why are these trees already changing color in June? I love Fall and all but, June?!

Thank you Morgan for the memories and getting us all together! I love you sister, happy birthday!

Love,
Kayla

Cody's Graduated with his Masters Degree!!!

CODY FINISHED HIS MASTERS DEGREE!! SURPRISE!! I never thought we would actually get to this point! I am so proud of him and his drive to keep going even when it was awful, he never gave up. Cody has been juggling so much these past few years, I've missed him so much. We are finally in this new chapter of life, and we can finally enjoy all of our hard work. Life will look so different from here on! This was the last big goal to accomplish before we have kids. Now we just wait for when the time feels right. Oh, I am just so incredibly proud of Cody. Cody, you should be so deeply proud of yourself. Let's celebrate YOU!

His celebration hug after he turned in his last paper and after staying up all night working his butt off. Lucy looks pleased he will be spending more time with her now too! :)

To celebrate these last 4+ years he has been so occupied with school, he has taken it upon himself to build new desks for our office and actually do something he wants. This should help the flow of the room and the fit as well. Look how good mine turned out! I love it so much!

Now he has a laundry list of things to do around the house he has had to neglect over the last year and a half while I was working a lot as well and we couldn't attend to.

This year Cody is teaching 3 new classes and isn't teaching History right now. He is ironically teaching coding, computer applications, and journaling. He's joined the technology side of the family even though he is on the teaching side. What are the chances! We're more alike that I thought ha!

So with that being said, we had to move every single thing you see in this picture across the school and into Cody's room to make it a computer lab. It was insane and took 10 hours total.

The Soddy field is so gorgeous! Also check out the shelves he built in the football room!

We celebrated after a hard day of moving by going to Firehouse Subs!

Check out this Lucy decal I got for Christmas and finally put up on the car!

My relaxing buddy!!

With love,
Kayla
