Happy Spring!!!! Flowers are blooming, the birds are back out again, and regarding this particular year, the sun is FINALLY shining again. Oh how we have missed the sun.
Let's just jump right into my Spring favorites!!
I found this beautiful shirt combination at Altar'd State, a new Christian store in the mall. I was so impressed with their aesthetics, clothes, friendliness, focus on customers comfort, and most importantly the huge focus on the Lord. I will be going back there.
This top combo looked PERFECT for Easter and just a spring outfit for when it starts to get really warm. I picture this pairing nicely with dark wash jeans and light tan colored ankle boots.
The top above that I got from Altar'd State is so incredibly soft and is a light blue color. The picture doesn't do it justice! I also see this pairing nicely with dark wash jeans and either black or light tan colored ankle boots.
The facade of the beautiful store!
Not only did Altar'd State treat us like royalty, they hand you your purchase in this perfectly adorable bag with complementary water to sip while you shop (if you continue to do so since everything is so amazing you can't help to still look around). The dressing rooms were like royalty also. The decor, the couches, wow, I wish I had taken a picture. I can't say enough great things about this place! Mom even got a snack and water while waiting for me in the dressing room!
For my Spring scent, I went with this rose smelling body mist. I am definitely feeling more floral lately and this scent is perfect! Bath and Body Works is my go-to; I spray this on my wrists every morning as I am running out the door. I also have a watermelon lemonade scent for my anti-bacterial soap preparing for the late spring/early summer months. It totally smells like pop rocks!
In the Spring food category, I have these new favorites found at GNC. The chocolate donut Lenny and Larry cookie was by far the best in this group with the smart sweets gummies coming in for a close second.
The chocolate donut cookie had and incredible flavor and texture landing at a 9.5 out of 10! Unfortunately the mini crunchy Lenny and Larry chocolate chip cookies fall at a 1.5/10. Very lacking in flavor, very hard, over-cooked flavor, and just so unsatisfying. I wouldn't recommend.
My mini travel scale! This incredibly small scale is perfect for longer trips when you want to make sure you are staying on track. Especially around Christmas when we seem to be on the go for a month and a half!
Here it is for size reference! Can you believe it!?
On-the-go deodorant balls! These are actually pretty cool! This one smells amazing by the way!
One thing I do love so much about spring is the trees and flowers. I saw this tree when I was running at the green way the other day. I couldn't help but stop and take a picture!
Is this a cherry blossom?
The row of fluffy white trees 😍😍
Another spring favorite is my spring colored rip stick!! I love it so much!!
BASKETBALL!!!! I bought Cody and I a basketball for our new house and an area near our new house where we can play! I love basketball but have been too short to play on a real team. *Oh and I got a peach mango hand sanitizer bottle for Cody's truck since he loves peach and mango so much!
And of course we need some nice new hot pink gloves to inspire a deep Spring cleaning! There is nothing better then walking into a nice clean house after a long week of work!
This awesome strawberry liquid lip gloss from Aerie with real dried flowers inside is amazing!
These teleties are the new rave right now! They are very gentle on hair and keeps your hair in place well! I went with the rose gold color!
Of course we couldn't leave out pizza in this post. This is the time of year that the ultimate cheesy crust pizza is back out at Pizza hut. Cody and I ran, not walked to the closest Pizza hut. This is by far the best pizza we have ever had and will ever had. It is worth every penny. The cheese in the little crust pockets are different than the cheese on the rest of the pizza, it is creamier and stretchier like in mozzarella sticks! Just to die for!
Fun fact: Spring is actually my least favorite season, but I am making the most of it! I love most of the colors but I think since it is one of the furthest from the Fall season (which is my fav) and it is a sticky hot with lots of pollen outside that I do not care for it.
I hope you like Spring more than I do! I have definitely tolerated it better as I have gotten older. My least favorite months of the year are April, March, and September with my favorite being June, October, November and December.
Love,
Kayla
