Earlier this May my sister won the UT electrical engineering outstanding senior award! Morgan gives 120% into everything she does and it's no different for school! Morgan has worked so incredibly hard these past 4 years at UT and never stops! She is a super star and a rock star! I look up to her hard work ethic and determination! I am so glad she was recognized for it too! I am so incredibly proud of her and am so glad she had an awards night to receive such an incredible award out of her entire class, and to celebrate all of her hard work. Unfortunately she could only bring two people but I was ecstatic that mom and dad could both be there for her! Go sister!
Also not only is she excelling in engineering but she is doing that ON TOP of double majoring in her education degree (high school math). Absolutely unbelievable! She is killing it double majoring and being able to juggle it all...and excel in both! There are so many exciting things ahead for Morgan in this next year! Right now she is completing her second internship in her dream company, she will complete a semester of student teaching this Fall in Knoxville, and then will be getting married! Wow! This is her year!
I have a beautiful family!

A few weekends ago Cody and I went to the Wilderness Outdoor movie theater to see the new Avengers movie! It was really good! We enjoyed getting there right when the gates opened to get the best spot and to play football in the field!
It was nice just to be with Cody the two of us talking and just catching up from our busy week!
We set up the back of Cody's truck with pillows and blankets so we could comfortably watch the movie! We had our snacks (beef jerky and spicy peanuts for Cody and sour octopus gummies and propel water for me!) all set up and were so relaxed. Being in the bed of the truck allowed us to quietly chat, enjoy the movie, and relax very easily.

Fast forward to mother's day, mom came down to visit me on Saturday and we had an action packed in as much as we could!
We started off by mom taking our new lot pictures and then walking at the local greenway. It was so hot we almost passed out but we made it! It is so nice to be with my mom in person. I love catching up, telling stories, and laughing at the animals. I miss her so much!
Then we headed over to the mall to shop for some whole 30 books (more in my whole 30 diet blog to come!) and shop for some more work clothes for me. After spending eternity in Belk :), we ate at one of mom's favorite restaurants, Red Robin! Cody met us for dinner and it was so divine!!! Then we smelled candles at bath and body works and headed home! We talked a little bit at home while I gave my mom her mothers day present and her favorite snack for her drive home.
Red Robin! Isn't mom so cute!
On actual mothers day we spent the day after church with Cody's mom at their house! It was the most relaxing day we have had in a while! We talked, told stories, caught up and napped:). We love Jamie's new craft room!
Most importantly we love both of our moms so so much and I look forward to every mothers day because our moms and every mom out there truly deserve every day to be mother's day. Moms are the hardest working people on this planet. They do so much for us and deserve all the praises! They are the reason we are all alive....think about that! These facts alone are the reason I am terrified to be a mom one day lol! But thank you mom for teaching me to focus on God when I start to worry. And thank you for everything you have done for me in my life and being my best friend. Everything I have done or accomplished is rootly (is that a word?) because of you!
Love,
Kayla
