EXCITING NEWS!!!

WE BOUGHT A LOT!!!

Cody and I are overjoyed to announce we have officially bought a lot as of April 23rd 2018 and we will be building our first house in September!!! Cody's dad is an amazingly skilled builder and will be building our house. We are absolutely honored to have him build our first dream home. We will be living in Apison Tennessee in a beautiful neighborhood at the end of a cul de sac.

We are thrilled for these next steps in our life and can't wait to share the building process with you! Right now we are looking at house plans!

Our little families next grand adventure! I sure love doing life with this man!

Our lot goes all the way to the back of this picture at the back of the tree line.

This lot and future house means so much to me, every time I think about this house and our life living in it, I picture my hearts deepest desire, one day being a mama and walking our little baby around the neighborhood, watching our kids play in the backyard with our little dog running around. I see so much future and potential for our little family. There are so many amazing things coming up. May all the glory be to God, shout his praises! God is so good y'all!!!

Celebrate!

Our lot goes from fence to fence on the left and right.

This is the aerial view of our lot!

We are in love with this find! We had been searching for months and God laid this lot in our path. It was an answer to our prayers. We started planning on this dream the day after Christmas last year and are so excited it is a reality!

Here are some previous pictures of us from the weekend after we officially got the lot (yes I coincidentally was wearing a similar outfit lol, go figure).

We now will truly be the newest Raborns on the block;)

With so much love,

Hobby Lobby Haul and Kentucy Derby!

I never treat myself and life gets so busy so I decided to take my Hobby Lobby gift card from Christmas and spend it at my favorite place:)!

At Hobby Lobby I found my favorite little find there, my perfect K cup (not k-cup ;))!

It is so eloquent and perfect!

And I of course I couldn't pass up these amazing pizza socks! I wore them when Cody and I made cheeseburger sliders and it made me so happy (I don't get to eat pizza a lot because of my high cholesterol so this will have to do!). I would show you a picture of the sliders we made buy my phone isn't working right now and is infuriating me. I have gone around the world to post three blogs with pictures which is ridiculous.

I also found my favorite pioneer woman magazine and fitness magazine and couldn't pass it up!! Also it is conveniently opened on the Rose page. If I liked alcohol, Rose would be my favorite! I LOVE the flavor (I tried non-alcohol Rose gummies).

And last but not least I got a little paint kit to paint a horse! Horses are my favorite animal (I used to ride, show, and jump them) and I love paining. I like my mind to escape and just paint!

The annual Derby! I am so excited!!! I LOVE the Derby!! Every year my family "bets" on their horse and the winner gets all the money we put in the hat (2$ each). Wade won this year with Justify galloping into the lead! (Justify also just won the Preakness.....do we have another triple crown winner on our hands?!?!).

Kentucky Derby also happened to land on Cinco de Mayo! So of course I had to represent all celebrations so I threw on my taco socks! Lets taco bout it πŸ˜….

Also while we are also on the Derby topic and that happens to be about animals.... on a side note, look at my amazing Chick-fil-a calendar picture of the month!! It absolutely makes my day every day!

Mommy and Moo πŸ’•

Check out this cute little calendar I have at work! We got it from Chick-fil-a and this page melts my heart! I have a soft spot for cows (but still eat them, sorryπŸ˜“) and love this little picture for the month of May. A mama cow and her babies doing entrepreneurship yoga, so cute and clever;).

P.S. Stay tuned to the next posts about camping, bucket lists, weight loss, whole 30 diet, and a huge surprise!

Awards, Outdoor Theater, and Mother's Day

Earlier this May my sister won the UT electrical engineering outstanding senior award! Morgan gives 120% into everything she does and it's no different for school! Morgan has worked so incredibly hard these past 4 years at UT and never stops! She is a super star and a rock star! I look up to her hard work ethic and determination! I am so glad she was recognized for it too! I am so incredibly proud of her and am so glad she had an awards night to receive such an incredible award out of her entire class, and to celebrate all of her hard work. Unfortunately she could only bring two people but I was ecstatic that mom and dad could both be there for her! Go sister!

Also not only is she excelling in engineering but she is doing that ON TOP of double majoring in her education degree (high school math). Absolutely unbelievable! She is killing it double majoring and being able to juggle it all...and excel in both! There are so many exciting things ahead for Morgan in this next year! Right now she is completing her second internship in her dream company, she will complete a semester of student teaching this Fall in Knoxville, and then will be getting married! Wow! This is her year!
I have a beautiful family!

Morgan about to shake hands after receiving her award. She is standing next to one of our favorite professors!

......
A few weekends ago Cody and I went to the Wilderness Outdoor movie theater to see the new Avengers movie! It was really good! We enjoyed getting there right when the gates opened to get the best spot and to play football in the field!

It was nice just to be with Cody the two of us talking and just catching up from our busy week!

We set up the back of Cody's truck with pillows and blankets so we could comfortably watch the movie! We had our snacks (beef jerky and spicy peanuts for Cody and sour octopus gummies and propel water for me!) all set up and were so relaxed. Being in the bed of the truck allowed us to quietly chat, enjoy the movie, and relax very easily.

..........
Fast forward to mother's day, mom came down to visit me on Saturday and we had an action packed in as much as we could!
We started off by mom taking our new lot pictures and then walking at the local greenway. It was so hot we almost passed out but we made it! It is so nice to be with my mom in person. I love catching up, telling stories, and laughing at the animals. I miss her so much!

Then we headed over to the mall to shop for some whole 30 books (more in my whole 30 diet blog to come!) and shop for some more work clothes for me. After spending eternity in Belk :), we ate at one of mom's favorite restaurants, Red Robin! Cody met us for dinner and it was so divine!!! Then we smelled candles at bath and body works and headed home! We talked a little bit at home while I gave my mom her mothers day present and her favorite snack for her drive home.
Red Robin! Isn't mom so cute!

On actual mothers day we spent the day after church with Cody's mom at their house! It was the most relaxing day we have had in a while! We talked, told stories, caught up and napped:). We love Jamie's new craft room!

Most importantly we love both of our moms so so much and I look forward to every mothers day because our moms and every mom out there truly deserve every day to be mother's day. Moms are the hardest working people on this planet. They do so much for us and deserve all the praises! They are the reason we are all alive....think about that! These facts alone are the reason I am terrified to be a mom one day lol! But thank you mom for teaching me to focus on God when I start to worry. And thank you for everything you have done for me in my life and being my best friend. Everything I have done or accomplished is rootly (is that a word?) because of you!

Love,
Kayla
