Spring Here we Come!

In the past (like 8 years) I have come to hate Spring. Hate is such a strong word but it was true. Now I feel different. It may be because of the miscarriage or I am seeing life differently, but I am warming up to not hating it. I don't love it but I don't hate it, that's progress. My sole takeaway from after last year is to embrace. Embrace the things we can't change, embrace the good, the bad, the in between, and just learn to love it and most importantly live. My word of the year has always been planned to be 2021, Hope. Even before I knew I would be needing Hope this year, I knew it was my 2021 word but lately, I have learned to embrace everything that has happened/happening to me in my life right now because if I don't, who will for me? And my life is worth celebrating and being happy for. It's not perfect but it is to me. This is a form of surrender, not settlement. I am surrendering my will to be Gods will for me. I'm not settling but thriving, and I'm loving it. Spring is a season of rebirth and rejuvenation. I am ready to have that within myself as I watch outside nature transform from dead back to life, the eternal promise of Hope. Our journey is not perfect but that is just the part of growth! God sure does give so much Grace doesn't he? His flowers are just gorgeous. So here's to Spring 2021!

Here is my annual spring magnolia picture.

My happy girl sure does love the Spring, longer grass, and warmer walks. Lucy has helped change my life. She is the epitome of happiness and blissful joy.

Saturday devotionals and Mickey Mouse waffles with my girl!

Remember to smile! Lucy has a reason to smile, her 1st birthday is in a few weeks!!! Let's celebrate!

I have been replaced hehe. Lucy girl loves my seat in the car, even if we are at the vet getting her nails clipped. She HATES that and now going to the vet unfortunately.

The flowers almost look like snow balls laying on the branches. Also, time to go clothes shopping to spruce up my closet and feel comfortable in my own skin again finally. I am breaking down and buying clothes for the first time in about 8 years.

Our new healthy delicious snacks from East Hamilton Nutrition! This is the butterfinger protein shake!

Another trip with Lucy to the dog park but this time with my mama for her birthday!

On one particular day in early March, it was strangely 80F degrees and Lucy and I took a long hot walk and afterwards she was dying to get cool so I broke out the kiddie pool, filled it up and we had a blast!

Do you think she's grown from last August/September until now? Ha

Happy Spring! Here's to rejuvenation!

Valentines Day!

Cody and I came down with a little cold/bronchitis (it was really covid for me but we didn't know it at the time) so instead of going out for Valentines day we ordered Bonefish in! Valentines day is one of our favorite holidays. We are saps for love and being romantic so a day dedicated to that is our day lol!

We were going to take Lucy to Petsmart to let her pick out a present but since we felt so crummy we decided to go next weekend. (thank goodness because I didn't realize I had covid still especially since I had the antibodies in December from taking the covid antibodies test) In the meantime..... Lucy decided to tear apart some of her toys. Thank goodness it was just that and not the pillows and couch. Thankfully it doesn't bother me at all to have a mess so I let her enjoy it for the day then cleaned it all up.

We ended the day watching her favorite movie right now, Sleeping Beauty!

My long girl with her muddy footprints all around the house lol!

Since it has been so rainy and yucky, I brought some fun into the house for Lucy and if you look closely, you can see the blue Gatorade she has stolen from me lol.

I also took Lucy to the local dog park one of the days I had off and it was a dreary rainy day but perfect because no one else was there and Lucy had the park to herself to explore. Lucy did so well and climbed the teetertotter, ramp, jumped the hurdles, and went through the poles all on her own on the first try!! Proud dog mom! Afterwards, I took her to the greenway part and since it had rained so much, Lucy jumped in all of the puddles and swam around. It was her bath day so it was fair game!

Dinner for 2 please! I just love dining with my Lucy!

Cody and I found a new protein shake place called East Hamilton Nutrition right down the road! It's so delicious and healthy!

We have been taking advantage of this slightly warmer weather and the sunshine just sitting outside together. Catch mama!

With love,
