Wow wow wow! I can not believe it is autumn already! I typically don't care for the month of September but since the first official day of autumn falls at the end, I am very ok with it! The weather started to feel a little bit like fall but then got back into the 90's, but right now it has dropped down to the 70's and I hope it stays like that from here out! It's hard to have that fall feel when it's 90 degrees. But you better believe I am still going to wear my fall clothes which includes hoodies, jackets, flannel, and long sleeves no matter the temperature! I just may be inside for a while ;).
Speaking of fall clothes, above is one of my favorite fall outfits and yes this day it was 93 degrees. I normally get all dressed up on Saturday's for me and Cody's 'date day' and our favorite breakfast place date!
Of course I have to rep my Tennessee gear! I got this clutch at Stein Mart from my sweet grandmother!
Every Saturday for breakfast, Cody and I head to our absolute favorite restaurant, First Watch. They have the most creative foods and the BEST pancakes. Their pumpkin pancakes are to die for. And whats our motto kids?! PUMPKIN EVERYTHING! So it passes the test.
Cody's football season is going so well! I am so proud of Soddy Daisy, the students, the coaches, players, and fans. What a positive, supportive school! Soddy Daisy is currently 4-2 and only lost the two games by a grand total of 2 points. We just beat Ooltewah! I have really truly enjoyed this football season. I can say with 100% honesty, when the season is over I will be very sad.
So back to fall! So I just wanted to share my fall decor in our apartment. I am not great at all with decor and I always dreamed of having a stylish pretty house when I grew up and I have to say, on a small scale, I am achieving what I always wished I could do! I am so proud! I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest and honestly I just go places and try to picture what it would look like and where it would go in our apartment.
Here is our front door, I love fall wreath most of all!
Our cute little his and hers scare crows.
UT bear!
And our new decorative bowl (from bridal shower a while back) filled with cute little sparkly pumpkins, all on top of an autumn table runner.
And nothing like sitting back after a long relaxing Saturday at home sipping a cup of pumpkin spice tea looking at our freshly cleaned apartment (by me, Cody doesn't clean much) ;) and watching the Vols.
We have been back and forth to Knoxville almost every weekend for the last two months for different reasons/events. We love Knoxville so much so my heart is happy!
This past weekend we went to the TN-GA game and I don't even want to talk about it. When they call a teams fans loyal, it usually means we suck. Which we do. Bad. I can not even put into words how disappointed Cody and I are. It hurts my heart and makes me so sad. We are back to square one, back to where we were 5 years ago. What happened. We have to start all over. Its not so great to be a Tennessee Vol right now but we still watch the games and just move along... like we always do and as they like to call us....loyal fans. ðŸ˜
For the upcoming future for the Raborn family, we are enjoying fall, work, walks with the gorgeous leaves, First Watch, and a few weddings to attend coming up. We are so looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving. October is probably my favorite month so I'm not going to waste a single day! For Halloween I plan on being Spongebob and you bet your bottom dollar I will be handing out candy in front of our apartment wearing my Spongebob costume. And of course I will be only handing out the best candy. Kids with allergies beware! We plan to eat Thanksgiving with Cody's family this year and will probably drive up to Knoxville for dessert.
Happy Fall Y'all!!
With Love,
Kayla Raborn
